Meet Our Team

Sumpton Opticians is a family business and is run by husband and wife team Michael and Gemma Sumpton. Michael is the optometrist at the practice and Gemma is qualified as an Optical Assistant through the Association of British Dispensing Opticians and is half way through her dispensing optician training. Before this, she worked as a secondary school science teacher for 16 years. As a Biology graduate, she specialized in eye diseases in her MSc dissertation.
