We offer both NHS* and private sight tests. A minimum of 30 minutes is allowed per appointment, giving ample time to disuss fully any problems or concerns a patient has about their eyes.

We offer home visits by appointment every Tuesday. These are paid for by the NHS where a patient is over 60 and unable to leave the house unaccompanied. A range of frames are brought out and any spectacles required are delivered one to two weeks later.
We stock a range of magnifiying glasses, reading lights and other low visual aids. These can be purchased privately or provided on a long term loan from Sight Support Derbyshire through the NHS low visual aid if a patient has a visual impairment.*

We provide a wide selection of spectacle frames to suit all ages, tastes and budgets. A wide variety of single vision, bifocal and varifocal lenses can be glazed into most frames.
All types of Contact Lenses are available. We can supply daily and monthly disposables in more prescriptions than ever before, and stock a range of contact lens cleaning solutions.
Retinal Photography is available* as part of a standard sight test. This is done alongside other diagnostic tests to provide an image of the eye which can be monitored on subsequent vists.

We carry out free hearing checks in the practice on a Tuesday. These are carried out by our visiting audiologist.
We stock a large variety of safety glasses, both plastic and metal frames, for use at work or at home.
We have just invested in the latest eye examination equipment, an OCT scanner, which can be used in the diagnosis and monitoring of a vast number of eye conditions, including glaucoma and macular degeneration.

Additional Services
We also offer the Community Urgent Eyecare Scheme (CUES, also known as MECS). This is an NHS scheme where patients can be seen with a wide variety of eye conditions, and receive appropriate treatment or onward referral.
